Previous Project False Start    Ahh memories...
As mentioned in the background section, this will be my second start on a homebuilt project. I started the tail section of an RV-8A in late 1999. I got as far as completing the horizontal stabilizer and prep for the Vertical before shelving the project due to work conflicts.
I did take delivery of a kit on that first attempt. Hiring a moving company to go the 'last mile' from the shipper's dock to the to the house is a totally worthwhile investment. I repeated the same process with the current kit. I've read enough stories about getting those giant crates off a truck in a hokey manner.
The fuse and wing kits sat in my garage until I sold the kit in late 2000 to Ulf Petersson in Peachtree City, GA. I understand he is nearing completion.
Thus end the sad saga of the first attempt. In hindsight it was good experience handling the material and it was not entirely time wasted (a lot of money, though). This time I am committed to seeing it through. My personal and professional situation should better allow for success.
